The CMCA is a 501(c)(3) charity that organizes and funds programs to enhance the lives of children in our communities.
The CMCA was founded in 1986 when a dedicated group of men decided to branch out from their prior organization, the Catonsville Jaycee's. The new group formed, now known as the Catonsville Men's Civic Association, and founded themselves on the ideals of enriching the lives of children in Catonsville and the surrounding communities through educational, nutritional, physical, and financial support.
Having celebrated 40 years in operation in 2026, the CMCA proudly continues to evolve these traditions and explore new ways of making a positive impact on the community and striving for the enrichment of local children.
We offer programs that foster social and emotional development helping children build a brighter future, including:
- Two scholarships for Catonsville area high school seniors
- Weekly fresh produce donations to Catonsville Emergency Assistance (CEA)
- Partnering with the Regional Institute for Children and Adolescents (RICA) to provide mentorship and support for middle and high school students enrolled in the program
- Monetary donations to local charities
- Sing-Along with Miss Kelly of Finding Our Voice MD
- 4th of July Children's Games and Races + Bike Decorating Competition
- Annual Easter Egg Hunt
- Catonsville Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
- Catonsville Santa House + Visits with Santa
To ensure we can continue to provide this support and other community programs, we fundraise in a variety of ways throughout the year.
