Friends of CMCA, it's been another fun and memorable summer and now here we are heading into those last few weeks of August before our fall and winter activities really begin to amp up.

Like most years the CMCA took a much needed summer vacation during the month of July, so you may have noticed that we didn't put out a July Newsletter. We were taking it easy after celebrating an amazing 4th with all of you.

For America's 250th anniversary we had a great turn out for our annual Games & Races at the High School, especially considering the record breaking heat this year! Here are some photos of the festivities, you can find an album on our Facebook page containing all the photos we took that day.

While CMCA member John Jacob was reminiscing on Games and Races past, he came across this document from one of the first few Games and Races the CMCA hosted. Our schedule of events hasn't changed much since the 1950's so it's fair to say you can rely on the CMCA for carrying tradition on with our 4th of July Games and Races.

With July long gone here is what we have going on, as we rapidly approach the end of summer.... Believe it or not we're still working on scheduling our Outdoor Family Movie Night, the weather in Maryland this summer definitely made it a challenge for us to kick off this event. We are hoping to secure a date in September or possibly early October so we can reschedule and aim for slightly cooler weather, an earlier sunset, and a dry evening free from rain and lightning. After calling an audible twice it's eventually going to work in our favor right? Stay tuned!

As always, thanks for reading and your continued support!
