Friends of the CMCA, Catonsville's 4th of July celebration, a.k.a. Christmas in Catonsville, a.k.a. Catonsville's Birthday, or whatever other nickname you've personally dubbed the best 4th of July celebration in America is less than two weeks away!
As you could have guessed, the bulk of our June meeting was centered on the upcoming holiday and preparing for the annual 4th of July Games and Races hosted by the CMCA.
Since we've been hosting this children's community athletic event for a few decades at this point, the discussion is really just a friendly formality.
Another formality that we planned out was the CMCA Roadblock Collection for the Catonsville 4th of July Committee. We will be at the intersections of Frederick, Ingleside, and Bloomsbury on Saturday June 27th from 9am - 12pm collecting cash donations to raise funds to support Catonsville's 4th of July celebration.
The last topic of conversation to mention is in regards to our Outdoor Family Movie Night. At this point I'm not sure if we should show The Sandlot or Groundhog's Day. Our original date on Friday May 22nd was a washout and attendance at our second take on June 12th was heavily influenced by meteorologist hype. Stayed tuned for our third attempt!
One final note, if you're new to Catonsville, this is your first time attending the games and races, or you have any questions please reach out to us at [email protected]
