Hello Friends of the CMCA!

Here's the latest news and updates from the CMCA. As always we appreciate your continued support in our mission to enhance the lives of children in Catonsville and our surrounding communities.

💸 Fundraising

Our recent Atlantic Fundraiser was a great success, bringing in a significant contribution to our general funds and specific programs like the Santa House. We are grateful for every penny you spent to help us in our ongoing efforts to support children in the community, THANK YOU!

This week we also debuted a Santa House Fundraiser with festive apparel for all to show your holiday spirit around town and on the night of the tree lighting! Stop by Pat’s Porch at 819 Fredrick Road to shop for adult hooded sweatshirts, plus adult and youth long sleeve t-shirts. All fundraising proceeds go directly to the Catonsville Santa House.

🎄 Holiday Events on the Horizon

The spirit of the season was on our minds as we focused most of our discussion on:

Tree Lighting Ceremony

This event is just around the corner with CMCA members decorating the tree on Saturday November 15th starting at 9am and the Tree Lighting Ceremony on Saturday November 29th kicking off at 5:45pm with festive entertainment and complimentary cookies and hot chocolate. Also, don't forget to plan your visit to the Santa House on Fridays and Saturdays leading up to Christmas.

Holiday Giving Initiative

For this holiday season, we passed a new motion to allocate funds toward Christmas gifts for approximately 50-55 adolescents through RICA. This aligns with a core part of our mission and we are excited to celebrate this holiday season with them!

We also have a member looking into maximizing our impact through Giving Tuesday, which is an excellent opportunity to bolster support for our community projects. We are of course always happy to receive your donations through Venmo, cash, or check and Giving Tuesday provides another great opportunity!

🤝 Group Business

This month we added two new members to the crew, we're happy to welcome Glenn Miller and Richard Snader!

As always, thank you for reading and your continued support!
